HURON - William “Bill” W. Jubak, 83, of Huron, passed away Sunday, Oct 11, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
Bill was born January 22, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Lincoln High School in June of 1956 where he was a three sport athlete lettering in football, basketball, and baseball. Excelling in baseball he carried a .385 batting average, he was voted all Scholastic and all West Senate. He was selected as the Cleveland Press Sandlot Star of the week and several major league teams showed interest in Bill. However, it came a little too late as Bill had volunteered for the draft and joined the Army.
Returning from the service, Bill worked for the City Loan & Savings, managing the Lakewood and Maple Heights branches. Bill attended Baldwin Wallace night school studying Business Management. He then took a job with Morgan Adhesives Company in Stow, Ohio, in sales and marketing, and later owned three companies. Late in his career, he worked as a consultant for Brite-Line Technologies.
BiIl was an active member of the Norwalk Elks Lodge #730 for 35 years; Plum Brook Country Club, Sandusky; Huron Eagles and the Huron Yacht Club. He served as President of the Norwalk Booster Club.
Bill and his loving wife Rita shared a common interest, as they both loved to cruise. He took pride in sharing that he has been on 92 plus cruises, and enjoyed telling all about their favorites, which were Tahiti, Rome, Mediterranean and Barbados, and of course, the Caribbean.
Surviving BiIl is his loving and caring wife Rita. Bill referred to her as his ROCK, making his life complete. Also survived by his daughter, Karen (David) Moehlman; son, Richard Jubak; granddaughters, Summer Moehlman, Sydney Moehlman, Janel Jubak; grandson, Chase Jubak; and nephew, Dale Mochko.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Jubak; and half-brother, John Mochko, and Craig Mochko.
Friends may call Thursday, Oct 15th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Oct 16th at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron.
Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
