HURON - William H. Enderle, 97, passed away peacefully, September 29, 2024, surrounded by his family, at the Parkvue Nursing Home, in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born August 21,1927.
He came to know Jesus in his late 20's. Bill was a devoted Christian who lived his life with grace, humility and a steadfast belief in God's promises. Bill loved serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His faith guided him through all of life's moments, both joyful and challenging. Bill began life as a farm boy. He enjoyed playing baseball in Huron with his brothers where he became a highly talented baseball player. He turned down professional opportunities to remain on the farm. He served in the US Army then returned home where he met the love of his life, Marilyn Taylor who he married December 10, 1949. He officiated high school and college sports. In midlife he was employed by GM at New Departure in Sandusky as a machine repair machinist. He finished his career at GM as the president of UAW Local 913. He also served as pastor of Milan Friends Church for many years.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Taylor) of nearly 75 years. Daughters Christine Sweet, Patricia Wilcox (David), William A. Enderle (Christina), Carolyn Ochs (Terry), Linda Mulligan (Steve and Raymond Enderle (Jessica); 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and good friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Cecelia (Zimmerman) Enderle, brothers Charles, Lewis, and Wayne; and sisters Alice Shafer and Eleanor Flesher and daughter Mary Enderle.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 3rd from 6 to 8 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Ave, Sandusky, and Friday October 4 from 10 to 11 am with the funeral service to follow.
