HURON - Virginia M. Steiner, 81 of Huron, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born May 27, 1938 in Norwalk and has lived in Huron for the past 50 years. She worked as a nurse for the Sandusky Pediatric Practice and retired in 1997.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Huron, where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed singing in the choir. She worked for the Red Cross Blood Mobile for 15 yrs, worked at Colonial Gardens for several years and was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl (Bob) Myers of Sandusky, Catherine Imperi, and Jo Ann Imperi of Huron; a son, Tom (Linda) Aigler of Bellevue; 9 grandchildren, Shawn and Tony Myers, David Repko, Sarah Doster, and Angie Aigler, Kacie and Dylan Imperi, Marilyn Lynch, and Andrea Vance; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Dawson of Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Steiner, 2019; her son, David in 2018, a sister Marty Lee, and her parents Howard and Lucille (King) Lee.
Friends may call Saturday, February 15th from 10 a.m. until time of service 11:30 a.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron, with Rev. Dick Kretchmar of Lakeview United Methodist Church of Berlin Hts. and Rev. Pamela Sayre of the Huron United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery, Oxford Twp.
