Terry R. Griffith, 84, passed away with her family by her side on March 25, 2026, at Admirals Point in Huron, Ohio.
She is survived by her children: son Greg Sakulich of Sandusky, Ohio; daughter Sarah (Jason) Harper of Fostoria, Ohio; and grandson Sean (Katelyn) Sakulich of Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alexander Sakulich; her father, John Francis Griffith; and her mother, Aurelia (Brandt) Griffith.
Born in Michigan, Terry attended the University of Detroit Mercy, where she studied Biology and Medical Technology. She graduated in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree and was a proud member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She later taught at Western Michigan University from 1978 to 1980 before attending The University of Toledo College of Law, where she graduated in 1987. She passed the bar exam and was a member of the Ohio State Bar Association from 1988 to 2017.
Terry was hired at the Erie County Prosecutor’s Office shortly after beginning her legal career, where she specialized in civil rights and labor law. She served the office from 1988 until her retirement in 2006. Following her retirement, she dedicated over 15 years of service as a trustee for the Huron Public Library.
During retirement, Terry enjoyed painting in her art studio, walking her beloved dog Neem, and spending time with her friends, affectionately known as “The Lunch Brunch.” Most of all, she cherished time with her family, including her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Southern Hospice and Admirals Point for their dedication and compassionate care.
