Stephanie K. (Bartzen) Smith

HURON - Stephanie K. (Bartzen) Smith, 47, died unexpectedly of natural causes at home May 4, 2020.

   Stephanie was born February 10, 1973 and was a 1991 Huron graduate.  She loved being a teacher’s aide in area schools, recently for Norwalk Schools.  She enjoyed attending “The New Kids On The Block” concerts.  Stephanie was a loving ­person who liked to laugh, solve puzzles, play board games and had an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.  She attended the Huron United Methodist Church.

   Stephanie is survived by her daughters; Hannah (Mark Hobbs) Smith, Emma Smith; son, Robbie (Nicole Cisternas) Smith; parents, Greg Bartzen, Sharon (Bruce Jensen) Bartzen; brothers, David (Angie) Bartzen, Joe (Tammy) Bartzen, Jeff Bartzen; granddaughters, Nevaeh Hobbs, Novalyn Hobbs; husband, John Smith; mother-in-law,­ Margaret Smith; grandmothers, L. Arleen Coleman, Laverne Bartzen; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

   She is preceded in death by her grandfathers; Howard Coleman, John Bartzen; and nephew, Howard R. Bartzen.

   A private visitation for family will be held at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron.

   Public graveside services will be held on Monday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m., respecting social distancing, at Scott Cemetery, on Huron Avery Road,  Huron.  The Huron United Methodist Church Rev. Pamela Sayre, will officiate.
