Sharon Lalond

HURON - Sharon C. (Napka) LaLond, 71, of Huron, Ohio, passed away at home on Monday, March 1,  2021, surrounded by her family, after a 4-year battle with cancer.

She was born on April 12, 1949, in Bellevue, Ohio, the daughter of Bernard Napka and Grace (Seville) Napka. Sharon attended Huron High School. She married her husband Mike in 1968. They lived most of their life in Huron where they raised four children over their 52-year marriage.

Sharon loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and her little Yorkie with all her heart. She will always be remembered for her sacrifices, selflessness, sense of humor, independence, and strength.

Sharon’s strength and independence are a legacy that will help her family cope with her loss and the huge void created by her passing.

Sharon is survived by her husband Michael (Mike) LaLond of Huron; her children Tracey (Mike) Campbell of Sandusky, Tammy (Tom) Finley of Huron, Michael (Mary) LaLond Jr. of North Ridgeville, and Terry Knepper of LaGrange; and her grandchildren Brandy Melching, Brian Melching, Bailey Baker, James Knepper, Gage Knepper, Michael Scher, Brooke LaLond, and Chloe LaLond.

In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, her immediate family will hold a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice Care Center at https://www.steinhospice.org/donate/.
