Sandra S Jeremay

Sandra “Sandy” Jeremay, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 17, 1952, at Providence Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio, to Allen Smith and Marguerite Bostater.

Sandy graduated from Huron High School in 1971. She later married Andrew Jeremay, and together they raised four children. Over the years, she worked as a retail associate at County Pride in Berlin Heights, Walmart in Sandusky, and as a factory line worker at M.A. Harrisons in Birmingham.

She especially enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, reading, and working on her puzzle books—when she wasn’t busy chasing after her many kids and grandkids.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Patty Chicotel; her oldest daughter, Kelly Jeremay; and her brother-in-law, Ronnie Bledsoe.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Andrew Jeremay Sr.; her children, Melissa (David) Morrow of Berlin Heights, Andrea (Mike Peterson) Jeremay of Norwalk, and Andrew (Amy) Jeremay Jr. of Berlin Heights.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: John, Harley, Tommy (Sierra), Thomas, Jacob, Alissa, Cassie, Hayley, Brendan, Becca, Devin, Charlize, Olivia, Andrew, and Adalyn; and her great-grandchildren: Chance, Bella, Nova, and Kyllian.

In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Rita (Frank) Petersen and Debbie Bledsoe of Huron, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foster’s Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. A final goodbye will be held at Foster’s on Friday, April 25, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a procession to Meadow Green Cemetery for a 10:30 a.m. burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Southern Care Hospice Services.
