Ronald F. Schneider

SANDUSKY – Ronald F. Schneider was born December 1, 1935 in Fairview Park to John and Wilma Schneider.  He passed quietly March 23, 2021 while under the care of Stein Hospice, Sandusky, Ohio.

   Ron grew up in Fairview Park but loved to travel and did often as a nationally known square dance caller.  During his square dance calling career, he called in 48 states plus Canada and Jamaica and started clubs in Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee.  Ron also recorded many dance albums under the Dance Ranch label.  In his later years Ron worked as a builder and construction foreman of log homes in the Eastern Tennessee mountains.  Ron was a proud man who loved the people he surrounded himself with.  He was gracious, kind and loving and will be dearly missed.    

   Ron is survived by his loving sons, Scott (Susan) and Joel along with his stepsons, Gary and Allen (Stephanie) Bickford.  Ron also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife Claudette in 2016.  

   A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
