Robert Milstead, 80, of Huron, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022.
Robert was born to Paul and Myrtle Milstead on May 23, 1942. He graduated from Strongsville High School where he played varsity baseball. After high school, he went into the Air Force and was stationed in Tripoli, Libya. Bob was honorably discharged in May of 1965. He met his beautiful bride Jackie (Elwell) Milstead that summer and they married on October 16, 1965. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this year. The gratitude we have for our mom and the amazing care she has given our dad is inexpressible.
Bob graduated from technical school as an industrial electrician and worked for local #38 in Cleveland. Some of the jobs he worked on were the twin towers in New York, both Cleveland Browns Stadiums, Quicken Loans Arena, and the FBI building in Cleveland. He raced street cars and was 1/10 of a second shy of breaking a national record in his 1968 Dodge Charger.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughters, Melissa Ivy and Micki (Michael) Seville; grandchildren, Morgan (Robert) Ernspiker, M. Hazen (Angie) Seville, and Ethan (Vivian) Seville; as well as great grandchildren, Nolan and Evelyn.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
