Robert (Bobby) Metzger, 50, passed away on March 26, 2026, at Embassy of Willard Nursing Home following a six-month battle with cancer. He was an accomplished pianist and played a mean saxophone in his younger years. He loved to cook when he got the chance. Despite some difficult years, he continued to keep himself busy and happy no matter where he lived. He was a very private individual and enjoyed doing things on his own. Bobby loved to watch sports, especially Ohio State and the Browns, with anyone who would join him.
He is survived by his brother, Michael (Lisa Bilger); his uncle and aunt, Bill and Carol Scott; and his cousins, Emily (Andrew) Marvin and Amy (Sam) Jeremay. He was preceded in death by his mother, Chris; his father, Robert; and his grandparents, HW (Scotty) and Geogianna Scott. Bobby will be buried at Scott Cemetery, and at the request of the family, graveside services will be private. Foster Funeral Home and Crematory, Huron, Ohio, is assisting the family, and online condolences can be made at www.fosterfh.com.
