Robert McGill

Robert “Bob” McGill, 74, of Huron, Ohio, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Bob was born in Seymour, Indiana, on September 22, 1951, to the late James and Jean (Dieringer) McGill. He married Bonnie McGill on February 12, 1977, and they recently celebrated 49 years of marriage together. Bob proudly served eight years as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force (1971–1979). He later retired after 38 years of service as a hotel manager, marina manager, and staff accountant for Hoty Enterprises and its affiliates.

Bob held a recreational pilot’s license for many years and had a deep love for flying. His other passions included playing guitar, enjoying Indy and NASCAR racing, working with youth at Faith Memorial, and collecting and building scale models.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; his children, Noah McGill, Jennifer G. (Michael Tacket) McGill, Brian (Jennifer R.) McGill, Michael McGill, Shawn (Misty) McGill, and Shannon (Kevin) Gray; his brother, Rick (Marcia) McGill; and his grandchildren, Cora, Asher, Andrew, Camden, Brielle, Brayden, Chloe, Brennin, and Lexa.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory. Flowers and gifts may be sent to the funeral home in advance of calling hours.
