HURON – Richard E. Dillon, 88, of Huron, died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his residence.
He was born August 9, 1930 in Mansfield. He graduated from St. Peters High School, Mansfield, earned his BA degree from Notre Dame University, and his law degree from The Ohio State.
He was self-employed and worked for the State of OH Liquor Control Dept.
He was a US Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of St. Peter Church, Huron.
Celebrating the life of our father/ patriarch, is easy. Richard (Dick) lived his life in every aspect to its fullest. A man of conviction with an open heart, open ear, and a compassionate passion for debate. He will be greatly missed, but never far away.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa, of Huron; daughters, Jeanne M. Evans, and Ellen M Miller; sons, James R., Daniel J., and Thomas M. Dillon; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday, July 2nd from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main Street, Huron. A funeral mass will be at 4 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron with Father Jeffery Sikorski, officiating.
Cremation will take place and burial will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
