Randol J. “Randy” Catri, 76, of Huron, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on November 13, 2025. Born on June 8, 1949, to Joseph and Patricia Catri, Randy was a lifelong resident of Huron and a devoted member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
A 1967 graduate of Huron High School, Randy built a long and dedicated career within his community. He worked at the Huron Lime Plant, spent time in real estate, and retired from Cedar Point Amusement Park after an extraordinary 47 years as superintendent of the Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad. His work ethic, steady presence, and kindness touched countless coworkers and guests over the years.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Dee, and their daughter, Wendy. He is also survived by his brothers Mike (Lois) and Joe (Sherry); his sisters Karin (Jerry) Filips, Beth (Craig), and Jana (Jim) Lehky; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives who adored him.
A Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, Ohio, on Friday, May 15th at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will follow at Mesenburg Plaza, 545 Cleveland Road West, Huron, Ohio,12pm continuing until 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron, Stein Hospice, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
