Pauline R. (Pultz) Urso

With deep sorrow, the Urso family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Pauline Rita Urso (Pultz), 87, of Huron, Ohio, on October 21st, 2022; she was surrounded by her loving family.

Pauline was born on November 18th, 1934 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Frank and Mary Pultz (Lamia). After graduating from St. Mary’s High School, she went on to attend Providence Nursing School. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Providence Hospital and the Ohio Veteran's Home for nearly 30 years.

Pauline married Andrea Urso in Strasatti, Marsala, Sicily in 1959. They eventually settled in Huron, Ohio and raised their family. She was a devoted mother to their six children and enjoyed hosting large family meals; she was known for her delicious Sicilian pizza. She was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Huron and was an Italian grandmother to all who knew her.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy (Jane) and Tony (Ruth); and her son-in-law, Jeff Dolsen. She is survived by her husband, Andrea; her children: Angelo (Cindy) Urso, Francis Urso, Ann (Raymond) Hogle, Andre (Dana) Urso, Thomas Urso, and Mary Dolsen; her grandchildren: Brandon (Taylor) Urso, Corey Urso, Andrew Hogle, Juli Hogle, Andréana Urso, Nadya Urso, Gabriel Dolsen, and Nathan Dolsen; her great grandchildren: Roman Urso and Chance Sorber; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Open visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 from 5-7pm at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron 44839; a short prayer service will begin at 6:30pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron, followed by a graveside service at Scott Union Cemetery on Huron Avery Road.
