Merle J. Schorr

Merle J. Schorr, 60, of Milan, passed away six days after his 60th birthday on Friday, August 19, 2022.

He was born on August 13, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada to the late Albert and Leita (Krock) Schorr. He was raised in Huron and lived most of his life on Williams St. before later moving in with the Woods family in Milan, OH.

Merle was known by most people around town as their paperboy, but he also helped to do landscaping work. He loved the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeye Football teams. He was a devoted fan who lived for football and always wanted to go support his favorite high school team … the Huron Tigers!

He is survived by his brother, Karl Schorr of Aurora, IN and sisters, Beverly Schorr of Nevada City, CA, Barbara Barns of Live Oak, CA, and Mauney White of Owens Cross Roads, AL.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life picnic will be held at 12 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Lake Front Park in Huron.
