Marian Charlotte Ryder

NORWALK – Marian Charlotte Ryder, 104, formerly of Huron and Milan, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Norwalk Memorial Home.

   She was born April 30, 1915 in Huron and graduated from Huron High School in 1933.  She worked at Providence Hospital for several years as a Tech in Central Supply.  She also worked for the Milan Library for several years.

   She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Norwalk and enjoyed knitting hats for children and over a hundred Afghans and loved cooking and baking.

She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Huber of Milan and Linda (Donald) Landis of Sunbury, OH; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

   She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillian (Mayers) Weigand; two sisters, Loretta Naumann and Vivian Lee; and two brothers, Elmer and Harold Taylor.

   At Marian’s request, a private family graveside committal service will take place at Scott Cemetery, Huron, at a later date.
