Marc A. Holbury

Marc A. Holbury, 57, of Huron, Ohio passed unexpectedly on April 6, 2021. He was born on November 28, 1963.

Marc radiated a quiet, unrivaled kindness. He was a man of few words but so many actions. He never met a person he wouldn’t help and would often be found on the side of the road helping a stranded motorist, hauling furniture to help friends and family move, or playing Mr. Fix-It for so many loved ones.

He was the most talented automotive painter and a beloved member of the Sherwin-Williams family. When not working, Marc loved customizing and riding his Harley with the love of his life before trading land for sea. Most recently, he found peace behind the wheel of his boat or reeling in a big catch on the lake. He also treasured watching his family enjoy the backyard pool he put so much work into.

From sporting a crown and jewels playing “Pretty Pretty Princess” when she was young to sharing puppy videos and inside jokes with her as she grew up, his daughter Katie was his world. And he never missed an opportunity to sneak away to nap in the spaceship bed with his adored granddaughters.

Marc could make others laugh and feel loved with his distinctive smirk and his own special sense of humor – but above all, he was a cherished husband, proud father, doting Papa, and selfless friend who will be missed by so many.

Marc is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tracy Holbury of Huron; daughter, Katelyn Holbury; son, Matthew (Sarah) Parker, daughter Jill (Steve) Vento; granddaughters, Isabella, Sabrina, Lily and Lilah and a grandson on the way; mother, Judy Fenstermaker; step-father, Dick Fenstermaker (Loretta Narducci); sister, Tami (Joe) Ferraro; brother, Jeffrey Holbury; sisters-in-law, Debby (John) Westerman, Jude (Pat) Brady, and Cindy Nelson Geissler; beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his cherished father-in-law, Donald Nelson, and 4-legged family members, Chloe and Sammy, along with his much-loved friend, Paul Geraghty. He was also preceded in death by father Gerald Holbury, Nana Rachel Theis, and beloved Aunt Polli.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Christ Church, 23080 Royalton Rd., Columbia Station, OH 44028 with service at noon and a reception with light refreshments to follow.
