Milan – Lily Bell Evans, 92, of Milan, formerly of Huron, passed away Saturday, June 27 2020 at Continuing Health Care Facility, Milan.
She was born April 18, 1928 In Huron and has been a longtime resident.
She graduated from Huron High School in 1945.
She worked for Bonwit Teller Department Store, Cleveland, Toledo Furs of Toledo, worked as an operator to ATT Phone Company, and was a full-time mother and homemaker.
She enjoyed being out in nature, reading, traveling, gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She liked to socialize and make new friends and enjoyed laughing and bringing smiles to people’s faces.
She is survived by her daughter, LaClaire Evans of Huron; a son and daughter-in-law, Crawford and Tanya Evans of Yuma, AZ; grandchildren, Crystal Evans, Crawford Evans, Jr, Claire (Scott) Hazelwood, Chad Mize, Juan Vicente, Rueben Gil, and Monica Hall; and 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Crawford and Vera (Welch) Perry; daughter, Vicky Gil; three sisters, Ethel Johnston, Flora Perry, Vera Perry; and three brothers, Clay, Walter, and Edward Perry.
Friends may call Thursday, July 2nd, from 11 a.m. until time of service, 12 noon at the Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St, Huron with Father Paul Schreiner officiating.
Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery, Huron.
