Leonard Round

Leonard Bruce Round, (Lenny), 59, of Huron, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home. 

Born in Poway, CA, the family finally settled in Huron, Ohio. He was a 1982 graduate of Huron High School where he was active in football, baseball, and band. 

He is survived and remembered with love by his sons, Thomas Michael Russell Round and Leonard Anthony Round; brother, Christopher F. (Linda) Round; mother, Alice Faye Round; and niece and nephews, Jacob, Kiely, and Joseph Round.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard P. Round, and his son, Jordan Round. 

Lenny was an amazing musician. Primarily a bassist, Lenny could play a variety of instruments dating back to his days in the high school band. His passion for music inspired, taught, and entertained many individuals who, through music, became family. His commitment to his craft led him to Nashville where he attracted dozens of bass students. Members of several bands share the loss with Lenny’s family. 

Lenny had a childlike approach to life and was a friend to everyone he met. A quick smile and hearty laugh were the elements of his personality that drew people in from all of his professional and personal endeavors. 

Visitation for friends and family will be at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street Huron, Ohio 44839, at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11th with a service at 4:30. A music celebration of Lenny’s life will be held (also on Wednesday, October 11th) at Halo Live, 805 Wayne Street Sandusky, Ohio 44870, at 7:00 pm.
