Laurel Jean Persons

Laurel Jean Persons, 74, passed away on October 6, 2025, at Fairview Hospital.

She was born in Lakewood, Ohio, to Joseph and Clarie Barbeck and grew up in North Olmsted. Laurie graduated from North Olmsted High School and later worked for the North Olmsted School District.

In 1982, she married Charles Persons and moved to Huron, Ohio, where they resided for 40 years. Laurie and Charles were active members of the Huron Yacht Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Laurie is survived by her sisters, Nancy (Dennis) Schleich and Karen (Joseph) Carney, as well as several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Baxter.

There will be no visitation or memorial service.
