Kieth Vermillion Obituary

HURON – Kieth R.Vermillion, 67 of Huron, passed away Tuesday, June 18 2019 at Cleveland Clinic, Avon after a brief illness.

   He was born December 6 1951 in San Jose, California and graduated from Summerville Union High School in Tuolumne, California.

  Kieth had an early career as a fire-fighter in California and he was a lifelong advocate for the firefighting community. He spent most of his later career as a construction manager for several companies, overseeing complex demolition and construction projects both domestic and international. Locally, he helped supervise the lengthy de-construction of the nuclear plant at Plum Brook.

   His passions outside work included customizing Harley-Davidson mortorcycles. He often rode to and attended the annual Harley national rally in Sturgis, South Dakota where he was a well-known figure.

   He is survived by two daughters, Amy Vermillion of Tallahassee, FL and Nicole Rogers of Rosedale, CA; a sister, Terri; a brother Gary, and six grandchildren. 

   He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Dutt) Vermillion in 2018; his parents, Ernest and Wanda (Francis) Vermillion; and a brother, Darrell Vermilion.

   There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Huron Eagles Club on July 28th 2019, from 1-4 PM.     All are welcome.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Huron Fire Dept & Rescue, 413 Main Street, Huron, 44839.
