Judith "Judy" A. (Hildebrand) Ryan

Judith “Judy” A. (Hildebrand) Ryan, 79, residing in Huron, Ohio died on Monday afternoon, July 25, 2022, surrounded by her family at ProMedica Toledo Hospital following complications from a hip surgery.

Judy was born in La Porte, Indiana on November 8, 1942 to the late Martin and Cora (Nissen) Hildebrand.  She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1960 and then Bowling Green State University. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron, Ohio where she has resided for the past 50 years. She was a well-known figure in Huron where she taught at the McCormick Junior High for 35 years. She was an active member of the Huron Education Association and the OEA. She was also active in the Huron Historical Society.

Her favorite activities included reading and discussion with her good friends in her book club as well as playing “bridge” with “the girls.” She also loved to travel with her husband Mike and spend time in Siesta Key, Florida in the winter. Her passion was doing genealogy for her friends and family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael; sons, Kerwick (Molly) Ryan of Huron and Jude (Stacey) Ryan of Pfluegerville, Texas; sister, Joann Missler of Bellevue; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Roth and Sally Ryan both of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Saj and Jas Ryan of Pfluegerville, TX and Owen and Kate Ryan of Huron; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many good friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Joseph Ryan of Sandusky, Terry Ryan of West Covina, California, and Norbert “Porky” Roth and Joseph Camella of Sandusky as well as a sister-in-law, Pat Camella of Sandusky.

Family and friends may call from 4-7 PM on Wednesday August 3, 2022 at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron 44839. A celebration of life service will take place on Thursday August 4, 2022 at 10 AM at Foster Funeral Home.
