Joyce C. Boyes

Joyce C. Boyes, born on December 27, 1931, peacefully passed away at Parkvue Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio on March 27, 2024. Joyce was a cherished member of the community, known for her love of playing cards at the Huron Boat Basin, spending quality time with her beloved family and friends, and indulging in her passion for reading. 

She was a proud graduate of Providence School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Providence Hospital until she retired. As a lifelong resident of Huron and a dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church, Joyce leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Joyce is survived by her loving children, Jody Caporini (John), Jim Boyes (Tracy), and Brenda Lochinski (Tom). She was a proud grandmother to Lauren Jones (Eric), Jill Semple (Mike), Lauren, Colin, Jacob, Drew, and Trevor Eck, Adrienne Gelardi (Tod Parkhill), Lauren Everitt (Andrew), and Ashley Williams (Jason). Additionally, she adored her great-grandchildren Adelyn Jones, Jem Parkhill, and Olivia and Connor Everitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred J. and Mary (Kriss) Klein; her siblings, Helen Mary (Andrew) Groesch, Donald (Anita) Klein, and Morris (Nancy) Klein; and her beloved husband of 42 years, Robert T. Boyes.

A private family burial will be held at a later date to remember and honor Joyce's remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Joyce's memory to Zion Luthern Church, 930 Main St., Huron 44839.
