Joseph Shane Wyatt (Huron, Ohio)
June 27, 1982 – October 25, 2025
Joseph Shane Wyatt, 43, of Huron, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 25, after a lengthy battle with health issues.
He was born on June 27, 1982, in Norwalk, Ohio, to Arnold Joe and Vonda (Proctor) Wyatt.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Sylvester and Erma (Smith) Proctor; and his paternal grandparents, Estle and Ann (Campbell) Wyatt.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Rebecca Webster of Huron, Ohio; his sister, Melinda “Mindie” (Mike) Martin of McKenzie, Tennessee, with whom he made his home for several years; and his brothers, David (Jackie) Reed of Norwalk, Ohio, Mike Reed of Sandusky, Ohio, and Bill (Leslie) Wyatt of Greenwich, Ohio.
He is also survived by his nephew, Jacob (Ashley) Creveling; nieces, Sydney and Mallory Reed (his goddaughter) and Allison Killough; and great-nephews, Wyatt and Zane. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends—especially his first best friend and cousin, Lona (Proctor) White.
Joseph was a 2001 graduate of Western Reserve High School. He enjoyed playing cards with his parents for hours and had a great love for comedy—he even performed stand-up comedy in Nashville during his years in Tennessee. He also loved concerts, video games, and Magic: The Gathering. His love for animals led him to work at a veterinary office and as a pet groomer. Joseph was also skilled at darts, but above all, he cherished spending time with family and friends, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around him.
There will be no services at this time. The family asks that memorial donations be made in Joseph’s memory to the American Cancer Society, Stein Hospice, or local food banks.
Foster Funeral Home & Crematory in Huron, Ohio, is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.fosterfh.com.
