HURON – Joseph A. Mussell, 100, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
He was born in Huron on February 1, 1920 and was a lifelong resident. He worked at several different places around the area. He retired from the Rail Road working at the Ore Docks in Huron in 1984.
He was a US Navy Veteran and served during WWII.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron; Knights of Columbus; American Legion, Sandusky; and was a member of the IAB Club in Sandusky years ago. He belonged to the UAW.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia A. Meyer of Huron, Darlene (Tom) Fullen of Bellevue, and Josephine (Robert) Palmer of Huron; 3 grandchildren, Duane Meyer, Jennifer Gianni, and Jeffery Fullen; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carmela (Fantozzi) Mussell, in 2004; parents, John and Mary (Terrara) Mussell; and brothers, Anthony, Nicolas, and John Mussell.
Private family mass will take place at St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron with Rev. Jeffrey McBeth officiating.
Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
