John Lampros

John A. Lampros, Jr. (86) was born on July 10, 1938, to John Sr. and Anna (McKelvey) Barnes in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away in his sleep on February 19, 2025.

John graduated from Old Saint Patrick’s Grade School and Macomber High School in Toledo. He worked at various companies, including Textileather and Penske Auto.

John was an avid horse racing enthusiast with a keen eye for picking winning horses. He also enjoyed being near Lake Erie, especially living with a view of the water. He found immense joy in the companionship of his beloved cat. His Chrysler Crossfire sports car was his pride and joy, and he could often be seen cruising on a beautiful day with a big smile on his face.

John was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Kathryn Mann, Milton Lampros, Ralph Lampros, and Constance Stambaugh. He is survived by his siblings Ella Millen and Scott Barnes, as well as many nieces and nephews.

John will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Services will be private.
