John A. Israel

HURON - John A. Israel, 76 , of Huron, passed away, June 15,2020, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

He was born September 7th, 1943 in Hamburg New York, to his parents Harold and Edith (Wilde) Israel.

John was known for his love of his family and especially proud of his grandkids.  He loved to sit outside and talk to anyone who stopped by.  He was also well known for his wittiness.  He was one of Huron’s biggest sports fans and would go to just about all the sporting events cheering on all the kids.  He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Candy Mullins (James) Steinmetz; his grandchildren, Brett Mullins, Mackenzie Mullins, Gage Steinmetz; his sister, Betty (Israel) Wolter and his brothers Mel (Paula) Israel, and David (Diane) Israel.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Loretta “Cheryl” Israel; his brother, Ray Israel; and son in law, Dale Mullins.

Cremation will take place and a private family gathering will be held.
