Jane E Bruck

Jane Bruck, 59, of Huron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, surrounded by her husband, family, and closest friends at Stein Hospice, following a courageous 2-month battle with cancer.

She was born on July 23, 1966, in Sandusky, Ohio, to John and Barbara Ebert. Jane graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1984.

Jane spent most of her working career in accounting at several companies including 25 years at Stein Hospice, where everyone found her to be engaged in patient care as much as crunching numbers. Most recently she partnered with 2 of her friends and started their own bakery named Sweet Bakes by the Lake which gave her great joy.

Jane loved serving others and was involved in many groups and events at St. Peter Church in Huron and the Knights of Columbus. Her greatest devotion was to her family, especially her daughters, Nicole and Jennifer. She also loved traveling with the most recent trip early last year to Guam and Palau. She believed deeply in quality of life over quantity and put 110% into everything she did. Her faith and devotion to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, guided her throughout her life during good times and bad times.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Bruck; her daughter, Nicole Orzech of Pace, Florida; parents, John and Barb Ebert of Sandusky; brother, Jerry Ebert of Huron; brother Jim Ebert, of Huron; sister, Jacque Johnson, of Huron; and nephew, Brandon Johnson, of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Bruck.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on February 6, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or the Huron Knights of Columbus.
