HURON – James Herbert Hinton, 88, of Huron, passed away at Stein Hospice on February 20, 2021 after a brief illness.
He was born May 3, 1932 in Tiffin, Ohio. He taught elementary and middle school for the Huron School System for several years. He was an assistant high school varsity wrestling coach and a middle school football coach. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Bowling Green State University.
He is survived by two daughters, Debra Hinton (David Mushin) of London, England, and KayEllen Hinton of Huron; son, Gary (Anne) Hinton of Huron; two grandsons, Daniel (Emily Rose) Mushin of Wimbledon, England and Andrew Mushin of Bristol, England; brother Richard (Sharon) Hinton, of Port Orange, Florida; nephews Brad (Mary) Hinton, Eric (Sarah) Hinton, Adam (Jennifer) Hinton; niece Kari Hinton; and other nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Wolfe); parents, Herbert and Goldie (Coffman) Hinton; and sister, Dorothy Jean Churley.
At the family’s request, there will be no visitation or services at this time.
