On March 8, 2021 Jack Steel left this earth to live infinitely in the house of the Lord. He was born on April 13, 1942 in Muskegon, Michigan to Sherman and Mary Steel. He was raised in Mansfield, Ohio where he attended Madison High School.
At nineteen years old, he embarked on a career in the car industry which began by working in the parts department at Earl Davis Chevrolet. He then moved into a sales position and would become a sales manager at Weidner Imports, and eventually realized his dream of owning his own Ford and Dodge dealership in Galion, Ohio.
At twenty-one years of age, Jack decided to serve his country and joined the Army Reserves where he served honorably for six years.
Jack married Sharon Rabal in 1968. He is survived by his wife, three daughters Sarah Steel (John Morgan), Kym Steel-Fannin (Chad) and Stacey Steel-Levasseur (Matt),his grandchildren Corbin Dellinger, Allison Dellinger, Sean Dellinger, Nicholas Fannin, Ava Fannin, Cora Levasseur, Olive Levasseur, Thea Levesseur, his brother Robert Steel, sister Betty Sigler, his beloved in-laws John and Joyce Angelini, Ted Davis and his much loved nieces and nephews.
Jack could sell snow to an eskimo and beach front property in Arizona. He enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. He loved living on the shores of Lake Erie where he made a lifetime of memories with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sherman and Mary Steel. His absence leaves a hole in our hearts, but we are comforted in knowing we will see him again someday.
At Jack’s request no services will be held at this time.
