Irene Boyd Groves

Irene Boyd Groves passed away on February 17, 2023, in Hemet, California at the age of 104. She was born in Ohio, where she spent her early years performing clerical office duties, then shifting to the role of homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father James “Earl” Boyd, mother Hazel Marie Boyd, Daughter Peggy Jo Hardy, Son in Law Ron Hardy and her husband Everett B. Groves Jr. Irene spent most of her time in California at the Colonial Country Club, then moving to The Village. She loved the Village and often spoke of how much she appreciated the support she received from the staff in both the Village Independent and Assisted Living areas. Irene will be buried in Ohio next to her husband and daughter.
