Helen Marie Oney

Helen Oney, of Huron, passed away on February 25, 2026, at The Laurels of New London in New London, Ohio.

She was born on March 21, 1935, to the late Alva and Martha Snyder. Helen devoted her life to her family and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She loved cooking for those she cherished, tending her garden, and planting beautiful flowers that brightened her home. For 72 wonderful years, she shared a loving marriage with her husband, Bud Oney. Together, they enjoyed traveling to Texas each winter, creating treasured memories along the way. Helen also looked forward to attending country shows with her beloved niece, Linda.

She is survived by Robin “John” Miller; her brother, Ralph Snyder; and her niece, Linda Herner.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Oney; her son, Rodger; her infant daughter; her sisters, Mary Jenkins and Velma Hunt; and her brothers, Don Snyder, Roy Snyder, and Clarence Snyder.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron, Ohio, followed by a private family burial. Foster Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
