Harold F. Brinkley

HURON – Harold F. Brinkley, 88, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Mercy Health-New Life Hospice, Lorain.

  He was born Dec 28, 1931 in Center Twp, PA and has been a resident of Huron for the past 30 years coming from North Ridgeville.

   He worked for Western Cold Drawn Steel in Elyria for 30 years retiring in 1992.

   He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron.  He enjoyed wood carving as a hobby and played saxophone for Ray Sullinger Band in North Ridgeville.

   He is survived by his wife, Rita (Perkins) married to for 69 years; 4 daughters, Patricia (Bryan) Garvin of Webster, FL, Janis (Chuck) Dayton of Los Vegas, CA, Mary (Bill) Pais of Huron, and Lisa (Scott) Goodson of North Ridgeville; a son, Michael (Gail) Brinkley of Elyria; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl (Margie) Brinkley of AZ.

   He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Gertrude (Humbert) Brinkley and a grandson, Kenneth Pais.

   Private family services will be held through St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron and burial will take place at Scott Cemetery.
