Gregory Sheets, 79, of Huron, peacefully passed away on June 9, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Avon.
Born on December 28, 1944, in Toledo, OH, Greg was the beloved son of the late Charles and Elsie (Kalweit) Sheets. He graduated with pride from Huron High School in 1962. Throughout his life, Greg remained dedicated to his community and was involved in various organizations, including AMVETS, Huron Browns Backers, Orioles, and Huron Eagles.
Greg's career spanned four decades, during which he worked tirelessly as an electrician at IBEW 867 for 20 years and later at Ford Motor Company UAW 1216 for another 20 years. Beyond his professional endeavors, Greg was known for his unwavering loyalty to the Cleveland Browns, his passion for travel, and his deep affection for his family and friends.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Barbie (Fish) Sheets; his sisters-in-law, Mary Barber and Jackie Newton; his nieces, Holly Barber of Perrysburg and Colleen (Joe) Tennant of Wadsworth; as well as great-nieces, Mylea Barber, Alaina Tennant, and Abby Tennant.
In honoring Greg's memory, the family will hold a private service at a later date.
