Gerald Fred Menkhoff Jr. (Jerry), 73, of Huron (born and spent much of his life in Fremont), passed away on January 17, 2024. Jerry was born on January 5, 1951, to the late Gerald Fred Menkhoff Sr. and Arlene, and was the dearest brother of Candy.
He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Mickey; the loving father of Nicole and Gera (husband AJ); and the proud grandfather of Aubrey, Ella, and Jackson Durbin.
Jerry lived a long, full, and colorful life, with the past few years being some of his most joyful and rich. He touched the lives of many, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Jerry wouldn't want anyone to dwell in sadness. Instead, he would encourage everyone to focus on the fun, joy, and happiness shared with him. Whether it was at Jerry’s Fine Foods in Tiffin, OH; enjoying memorable times with the January Birthday Boys; driving and singing along to the radio with his grandkids; engaging in garage talks with his son-in-law; being a dedicated Fremont Ross Band Dad and Granddad; riding his bike near the lake; fishing for perch; traveling the globe; succumbing to the peer pressure of his older sister; or any other time spent no matter how short, Jerry truly cherished every moment and knew someone everywhere he went.
In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a formal service or burial, and Jerry will be cremated.
Let us remember him with love and celebrate the vibrant life he lived.
