HURON – Eristea Consolo, 98, of Huron, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Riverview Pointe Care Center, Olmsted Falls.
She was born November 25, 1922 in Italy and moved to the United States in 1945 as a War Bride. She lived in Lakewood and then moved to Huron in 1970 where they owned and operated Consolo’s Grocery Store for many years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron. She enjoyed cooking, walking, sewing, and gardening. She was a former member of the I.A.B Club in Sandusky.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise (Bill) Patterson of Berea; her son, James (Theresa) Consolo of Huron; two grandchildren, Mark and Todd (Michele) Patterson; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Anna Patterson; a brother, Osvaldo (Ophelia) Bolognini of Italy; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Consolo in 1989, who she married in Italy during the War in 1945. They were married for 45 years. She is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, Feb 5th at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Father Jeffrey McBeth, officiating.
Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park.
