Ella Mae Ritzenthaler

October 20, 1934 ~ June 2, 2020 (age 85)


HURON - Ella M. (Ellie) (Klinc) Ritzenthaler, 85 of Huron, passed away at Parkview Care Center, Sandusky on June 2, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 20, 1934 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and graduated from Greenwood High School.
She met her husband Don, when he served in the U.S. Army at Camp Chaffee in Fort Smith. The couple wed on September 3, 1955 and lived in Huron throughout their married life.
Ellie Worked for over three decades at the Vacationland Federal Credit Union shortly after it was formed in 1956, starting as a clerk and ending up in management prior to her retirement in 1995.  She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, where she served as president of the Altar and Rosary Society and was a volunteer in the school cafeteria for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; four children, Vicki (David) Vogan, of Broadview Heights, Toni (Jeff) Coomer of Toledo, Kevin (Dondra) Ritzenthaler of Miami FL, and Michael Ritzenthaler of Huron; grandchildren, Dan, Eric, Mallory, Kyle, Cole, Reece, Lauren, Amanda, Rachel and Brian; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Elliot (Ellie), Jace, Nash, and Elenora (Nora).
In addition to her parents Ellie is preceded in death by her sister, Doris (Klinc) Moschner, and her brother James Klinc.
A Private Family service will be held this Satruday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron.
