Edward Hanna

HURON - Edward W. Hanna, age 79, of Huron, Ohio passed away at Fireland Regional Medical Center Wednesday night, April 1, 2020. He was born on October 20, 1940 in Massillon, Ohio. Ed will be missed and loved always by his wife Patricia Hanna of 18 years.

Ed was a 1958 graduate of Huron High School. After High school, Ed joined the Navy and served from 1958-1961. Following his discharge, Ed worked for American Tobacco for 36 years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Erie County Bowling Hall of Fame, and a lifelong member of the Huron Eagles. 

Ed is preceded in death by his mother May Rose, father Clarence Hanna, sister Dorothy Waters, and grandson Ryan Burke. Ed is survived by his son Patrick Hanna (Lora) of Columbus, daughter Sandy Hanna-Greenberg (Jack) of Atlanta, and stepson Stephen McNulty (Robin) of Huron. Beloved grandfather to Baylee, and step grandchildren: Ryan, Caitlyn, Abigail, and Jackson.

There will be a celebration of his life after Social Distancing ends. Contributions can be made to the Huron Rescue Squad.
