Doris M. Rasnick

Doris Marie Rasnick, 86, residing in Huron, passed away peacefully with family by her side in the early morning hours of March 16, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Doris was born on August 31, 1936 in Inman, Virginia to Lloyd and Sadie Bledsoe. She married her husband, Robert E. Rasnick, on March 13, 1954. Doris worked hard her whole life at various jobs, including many years at Riverview Lanes and most recently, Sawmill Creek, while raising her five children and taking care of her parents, then her husband. Doris enjoyed fishing, gardening, and looking after those she loved.

Doris is survived by her five children, Debra (Frank) Beverick of Milan, Ricky Rasnick of Huron, Kathy (Steve) Stallard of Huron, Gary (Amy) Rasnick of Norwalk, and Lisa (Karl) Kleinhans of Huron;12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sadie Bledsoe; husband, Robert E. Rasnick; siblings, Donald Bledsoe, Janice Smith, Lucille Payne, and Winfield Bledsoe; and grandson, Cody Rasnick.

There will be no services per Doris‘s request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

A special thank you to Doris’s loving niece, Linda Chaffin, who was more like a daughter to her, for all the love, help, and care she’s shown our mother over the years.
