Donald Ray Smallwood

BERLIN TWP – Donald Ray Smallwood, 69, of Berlin Twp, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

   He was born September 14, 1950 in Sandusky.

   He worked with EHOVE Career Center for 24 years.

   Donald’s main focus in life was his family and he took great pride in his home.  He was an honest and hardworking man.  He was a generous and giving person and enjoyed bringing a smile to the faces of others. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and liked to travel with his wife and son.  He had several hobbies and enjoyed the camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts sharing the same interests.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will always live in our hearts.

   He is survived by his wife, Donna Smallwood, married to for 45 years; his son, Justin Smallwood; and brother, Darrel Smallwood, all of Berlin Heights; and many nieces and nephews.

   He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Everett and Lela (Hammons) Smallwood, and his brother, Larry Smallwood.

   Although the family realizes that many would wish to pay their respects, there will be no visitation or services due to current situations with the Corona Virus.  The Smallwood family wishes to express its deepest appreciation to all of Don’s friends  who have reached out in prayer for their beloved husband, father, and brother during these difficult times.  Every gesture and act of kindness for Don and his family will always be remembered.
