Donald "Corky" Fielitz Jr., 65, of Norwalk, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in Strongsville, Ohio.
Donald was a lifelong resident of Huron and Norwalk and a proud graduate of Huron High School. He dedicated 30 years of service to the Huron Police Department and later continued his career with the Erie County Sheriff's Office. He was an avid bowler, a sports enthusiast, and a devoted dog owner who cherished his two German Shepherds, Marley and Zoey. Donald also loved spending time boating with his family, creating many treasured memories on the water.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Fielitz; two daughters, Ashley Fielitz and Shelby Fielitz; and three grandchildren.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Carl Michel, and his brother, David Michel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron 44839, from 4 - 8 PM. A Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron 44839.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Ohio.
