Dianne C. Rundell

Dianne Christine Rundell nee Matt of Amherst, passed away on January 13, 2024.  She was born in Huron, Ohio on March 12, 1941 to William B. and Mary M. Matt .

Dianne was active in Huron High School as a vibrant majorette and participated on the queen's court of the Huron Sesquicentennial.  Her youth was filled with the thrill of hydroplane racing and boating on Lake Erie. 

In December 1983, Dianne married James Rundell.  She retired from Ford Motor Company in 1998, having worked at both the Sandusky and Lorain Plants.  Her    talents extended into various domestic arts, including cooking, cake decorating, sewing, knitting, needlepoint and crafts which her family enjoyed.

She is survived by her children, Tamara (Bill) Haught and Dennis (LeeAnn) Bickley, granddaughter, Kyra Bickley and grandson, Brandon (Hillary) Didion.  She is also survived by her sister, Suzanne Matt (Larry Capucini) and two step daughters, Danielle Rundell and Misti Oliver, nephew, Ryan Brown; niece, Nicole Brown; great-nephews Sam Brown and William Cardona; and brother-in-law, Leroy Weigel.

Sadly, she was preceded in death by her sister, Charlene Weigel in Texas on December 15, 2023, and by her husband, James Rundell in 2013.

Honoring Dianne's wishes, cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held for the immediate family.
