Dennis Dancer

Huron – Dennis M. Dancer, born on October 23, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. He was the son of the late Clarence and Jane Dancer.

Dennis graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana. He spent the majority of his career in the tire industry, working for Dayton Tire, Firestone, and Dunlop Tire. Additionally, he held positions at Clevite, InterMetro and Steiner Soap Company, where he served as Plant Manager.

Dennis was a devoted member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan Dancer; his children, Mark (Amy) Dancer and Michele (Robert) Pollak; and his cherished grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Chambers, Megan Dancer, Troy Dancer, Haley Dancer, Connor Matiacio, and Alina Pollak. He was also blessed with a great-grandson, Jack Chambers. Dennis is survived by his sister-in-law, Marilyn Rhinehalt and brother-in-law Tom Toops.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathie Toops; his sister-in-law, Janet Rhinehalt; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Rhinehalt.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron, Ohio, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:30 a.m.
