David A. Boor

David A. Boor, 74, of Huron, passed away on January 1, 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

David was born on September 13, 1948 to parents Eugene and Helen (Adams) Boor in Shelby, OH.

He was a member of the Huron United Methodist Church and loved singing in the church choir and the Firelands Symphony Orchestra Chorale. David earned a B.S. in Education Degree from The Ohio State University. He went on to earn a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Bowling Green State University. He was a lifetime educator working with students with learning disabilities. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Abigail (Jeremy) Holden; two grandsons, Julian Boor Bennett and Seth Sabino Bennett; brothers, James Boor and Scott (Ann) Boor; sisters, Judith Hunter, Joy Marsella, and Margaret Smith; sisters-in-law, Jo (Stephen), Kathleen (Alan), and Patricia; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Boor Bennett.

Family and friends may call on January 5, 2023 from 4 - 6 PM at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron 44839. A funeral service will be held on January 6, 2023 at Huron United Methodist Church, 338 Williams St., Huron 44839 starting at 10 AM. 

Memorial contributions can be made to the Huron United Methodist Church Choir or to the Firelands Symphony Orchestra Chorale, 1 University Dr., Huron 44839.
