Danny Fowler

Danny Fowler, 69, of Oberlin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in the home he built from the ground up.

Danny was born on November 20, 1955, in Man, WVA to the late Tracy and Evelyn Fowler.

He spent his days drinking coffee and working at Ford Motor Company until retiring as a Maintenance Superintendent in December 2020, after nearly 45 years. Danny was an avid collector of Marx Toys, antiques, and all things Star Wars.  He loved to go fishing and spend time with his grandchildren. Above all else, Danny had a great love for his family and God.

Danny is survived by his wife, Wilma (Stephens) Fowler, to whom he was lovingly married to for over 32 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Stacy (Troy) Murphy of Olmsted Falls, Kayla (John) Tabor of Mansfield, and Barbie Salisbury of Wakeman; son, Rodney (Melissa) Salisbury of Amherst; he was Poppaw and Pops to seven grandchildren, Taylor, Makenna, Jacob, Payton, Wyatt, Josslynn, and his soon to be little peanut; sisters, Louise (Darrell) Browning and Terri (Morgan) Whidden; brother, Tracy (Shirley) Fowler; and several nieces, nephews, and other special relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his brother, Edward “Chuck” Fowler, and nephews Tracy “Danny” Fowler and Joseph Fowler.

An intimate service for immediate family members followed by burial at Meadow Green Cemetery in Huron, OH is currently planned. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be determined for a later date where charitable donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital will be accepted in his name.
