Dan Pisano Sr., 70, of Huron, Ohio, passed away on October 23, 2023, in Dublin, Ohio. He was born on July 30, 1953, in Huron, Ohio, to the late Sam and Darlene Pisano. Dan was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his love for his family and community.
Dan was extremely proud of his five children and 11 grandchildren. Affectionately called "The Italian Stallion" by his family and friends, Dan was known for his social nature and charm. Even in his last years in Assisted Living and Memory Care, he continued to make lasting memories with those around him. Dan loved spending time with friends and enjoying his small town of Huron, Ohio. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dan is survived by his five children and 11 grandchildren: Sean Pisano (Mary, Anthony, Madison), Becky Hayslip (Roger, Morgan, Evan), Cari Pisano (Siera, Alyssa), Jessica Barylski (Stan, Ashton, Gavin, Hayden), and DJ Pisano (Jaclene, Cooper, Carver). He is also survived by his siblings: Gary Pisano (Chris), Sam Pisano (Chris), Dick Pisano (Cheryl), Chuck Pisano (Rosemary), and Debbie Clemons (Chris). Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Pisano, his mother, Darlene Pisano, his father, Sam Pisano, and his brother, Bruce Pisano. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dan began his career at a young age, working for the railroad and the Huron oar docks. Later in life, he owned the Orioles Club Bar in Sandusky, Ohio, for many years. He concluded his career in real estate, working for Russell Real Estate in Huron, OH and owning rental property near Lake Erie beaches.
Dan attended St. Peters in Huron, Ohio.
In his free time, Dan enjoyed spending time with his family, socializing around Huron, riding his motorcycle, driving his Corvette, and relaxing on the lake at local restaurants. Dan loved playing cards with friends and family around the table and watching Cleveland sports and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 26th, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron 44839, from 3-5 PM and 6-8 PM. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 27th, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron 44839, at 10 AM with burial to follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron 44839. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dan's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, a cause close to his family’s heart during his battle with the disease.
