Craig “Bucky” Louis Waldron, 83, of Huron, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026. Bucky was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was born on November 17, 1942, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, to the late Eugene and Daisy Waldron, and was raised in East Orange, New Jersey. In 1959, Bucky enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he greatly valued his service and developed into a strong leader.
Bucky began his career in 1964 at the General Motors Plant in New Jersey. In 1973, he transferred to the New Departure Hyatt Plant in Sandusky. After 34 years of dedicated service, he retired as Maintenance Superintendent.
In 1965, Bucky married his longtime sweetheart, Patricia Kelley. In 1973, they moved to Huron, where they raised two children and devoted their lives to family. Bucky cherished time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and an active member of the Huron Eagles. Bucky had a passion for playing shuffleboard and socializing with close friends. He enjoyed golfing, reminiscing about his life in New Jersey, making his famous cheesecake, and most importantly, cheering on his beloved New York Yankees. He attended his first Yankees game at the age of seven with his father — a memory he never forgot.
Bucky was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Waldron. He is survived by his loving children, Glenn (Annette) Waldron and Laurie (Scott) Yant; four grandchildren, Christian, Abigail, Jared (Ericka), and Connor; his brother, Eugene Waldron; and his sister, Beverly Regan.
While the world is quieter without his wit and welcoming fun, his family is deeply grateful for the joy he brought into their lives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church.
