Carol E. Wilford, 84, of Sandusky and formerly of Huron, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Parkvue Healthcare Center in Sandusky.
She was born in Euclid, Ohio on October 15, 1936 and was a long time resident of
Huron. She graduated from Huron High School and attended Bowling Green State
University.
Carol loved her family and especially her many grandchildren. She worked at the 1887 Gift Shops at Sawmill Creek for several years. She was an avid bowler, and spent many years on the lanes with her friends and family. Carol found a love of classic cars later in life and enjoyed cruising the shows with her husband and friends in the Sandusky area.
Her hobbies of crafting, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, gardening and bowling will be
remembered by her children and grandchildren. She was also a long time member of
the Order of Eastern Stars in the area.
She is survived by daughters, Brenda (Ken) Haynes, Jodi Parron and spouse Craig
Lewis, and Sandy Lowery; a son, Ken (James) Wilford; grandchildren, Chad and Derek
Parron, Emily (Todd) Ery, Jerod, Joey, Avery and Livia Lowery; a great grandson,
Cormac Ery; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ken, of 61 years; parents John
and Hazel Andrews; sisters Patricia (Brownell) Bradt, and Kaye Andrews (infant
sister); a grandson, Monty Haynes; and a nephew, John Brownell.
Private services will be held for the family, and burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
A celebration of life for Carol and Ken will be announced at a later date.
