SANDUSKY - Brian Keith Johnston, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Jan 26th 2020 after a battle with cancer.
Born on July 20,1956 in Denver Colorado, Brian was the son of Dean H Johnston and Phyllis R Barholdt.
Brian is the great great grandson of the late David H Johnston, who earned Congressional Medal of Honor in 1894 for his role in the Civil War 1863.
Brian graduated from Huron High School in 1974. He was a star pitcher and captain of the baseball team. After high school, Brian became a successful insurance broker, and eventually the company owner of Johnston and Associates.
Brian was a loved son, brother, friend, father and grandfather. He often talked about his favorite family meal of prime rib and shrimp cocktail, and he absolutely loved his hair.
Brian is survived by his sister Jan (Las Vegas NV); brother, Tim (Sandusky OH); Son Eric (Jamie) Johnston of Avon OH; daugthers, Rachael (Claudio) Patino of Pickerington OH, and Samantha (David Bever) Johnston of Cincinnati OH; and two grandchildren, Estelle Blais Johnston and Julian James Patino.
He is preceded in death by his mother Phyllis (Wilcox) Johnston; father, Dean Johnston; brother, Tom Johnston; and lifelong friend, Jodi Auble.
Friends and Family may come pay their respects Sunday Feb 9th from 2-4pm at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St, Huron.
