Robert Kenneth Lippus, Sr, of Huron Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019. He was 2 days shy of reaching his 100th birthday. He was a resident of Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce, who passed in 2016.
His son, Robert K Lippus, Jr also passed before him, in 2017.
He is survived by his four daughters: Joanie Cramer, of Sykesville, MD, Janet (Larry) Hinckley, Janice Souter, and Carolyn (Tom) Smith, all of Norwalk. He has several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. The last great-great grandchild was born on the same day he left this earth to join his wife.
Robert made his living as a machinist at GM. He has been acknowledged for inventions that aided the company. Upon retirement, Robert and Joyce enjoyed traveling. The flea market became a big part of their lives as well.
With all of these interests, Robert and Joyce’s family always remained at the center of their hearts. Hardly a weekend went by without a grandchild spending a night or two. The Lippuses leave a legacy of making every person they encountered feeling like they were the most important person in the world.
They were proud of to be part of the Huron Ohio community, including their church First Presbyterian. Their final resting place will be in Scott Cemetary. Their son, Robert, will be placed to rest alongside his parents.
